About Us
Waterloo Region Purple Ribbon Society is a community based agency, but our hope is to work with Epilepsy organizations in Canada, with our neighbours to the south and worldwide to help spread the word and make people aware. Our hope is to work with Epilepsy Organizations who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for those with Epilepsy and their support networks through public awareness, advocacy, education and councelling.
Our organization is leading a profound transformation in the country. Our commitment is to stand firm in our actions, which we believe will provide results and positive changes in all nations.
We also hope to have a very well structured volunteer program, which welcomes people of all ages, sexes, vocational and educational levels, who wish to be linked to the social impact actions we take, as part of the core activities of the organization.

Waterloo Region Purple Ribbon Society is a proud supporter of Purple Day! Founded in 2008, by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada with the help of the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia, Purple Day is an internal grassroots efforts dedicated to increasing Awareness about Epilepsy Worldwide. On March 26th, people from around the Globe are asked to wear Purple and spread the word about Epilepsy.
